Wow! Am I to assume correctly that is very early FED-Zorki?? and 1/1000s speed?? I'm sorry I don't have FED-Zorki, but did that one have a 1/1000?

Hello Vlad
Yes, the FED-KMZ is the forerunner of the FED-Zorki build in 1948, something like a preserie with +/- 100 items.
And yes, the FED-KMZ has 1/1000, also the bigger parts of the FED-Zorki has 1/1000 but not all. Some of the also rare Zorki 1a (1949) has also 1/1000.
@Alain
Very nice item! ;-)
Best regards - Guido

what's little bit strange is "Z" instead of "B" speed....?? may be is it to copy exactly leica for "soviet Leica" ???

Hello Alain
Yes, the "Z" was used through about 1954, later Zorki 1 (and other models) used "B" instead. It's a *real* copy! ;-)
Best wishes - Guido

Fine camera, Alain![:D]
KMZ probably got some Fed S 1/1000 mechanisms for these ultra rare Fed-KMZ, before they used the last ones on Fed-Zorkis, and perhaps on 1a... It would explain the "Z" instead of "B".
Amitiés. Jacques.
