I just completed part of the work on my home made viewfinder for 85 and 35 mm lenses. They are made from old flash hotshoes and pieces of cameras I had laying around. The sports finder was a film apeature from a 35 mm and the optical was an 80 mm lens from who knows what and a viewer lens from a Kodak instamatic. The last stage of the optical viewer is to make a cover for it. Don

Here is a photo of my newest viewfinder made from two lenses back to back minus one of the rear element, It is very bright and wide, I masked it down to 35mm for use with the Jupiter lens. The moral I guess is to never junk a lense it may be usable for something. Don
