I need your help here. After our successful collaboration in classifying of "Komsomolets" cameras, I would like to continue this job with popular TLR "Lubitel-2". Beeing very mass-produced, Lubitel-2 came to market under many exotic names and three logos GOMZ-LOOMP-LOMO.
Below you will find my initial classificator with 11 versions already. I'm pretty sure it was much more versions indeed, so our task would be to make the list as complete, as possible. Thanks in advance!
1. Common version under Cyrillic name "Ëþáèòåëü-2". Camera comes with ZT-5 shutter, speeds - 1/10s, 1/25s, 1/50s, 1/100s, 1/200s + B. GOMZ logo embossed on the top plate. Tripod thread 3/8''. Some early cameras (#000189 V.Kern) has Cyrillic markings "Made in USSR" on filter compartment's door. Different styles of name markings are known;
2. Camera identical to 1st version, but under export name "Lubitel-2" in Roman characters. Less common to find.
3. Camera identical to 2nd version, but with new shutter ZT-8, speeds - 1/15s, 1/60s, 1/125s, 1/250s + B. Very uncommon LOOMP markings on the lens frontplate (camera known: #016055). These very uncommon export cameras were produced in period 1961-1966, before LOMO name was chosen permanently.
4. Very uncommon Cyrillic version with LOOMP logotype. White markings on the black lens frontplate. 5 digits serial number with "T". Camera known: #78305-T (V.Kern), #90020-T (Molotok).
5. Camera identical to 4th version, but with LOMO logotype already. Export markings. 6 digits serial number with "T". Tripod thread still 3/8''. Cameras known: #023417-T (www), #043867-T (A.Berry), #052450-T (SovietCams).
6. Common camera identical to 3rd version, but with LOMO logo already. Tripod thread 1/4''. Bilingual markings „Made in USSR“ on the filter compartment‘s door. Different styles of name markings. Can be found with bronzed lens.
7. Camera identical to 6th version, but under export name in Roman characters. Several styles of name markings.
8. Quite uncommon export version, under name "Kalimar TLR100" (see camera #7762353). Otherwise identical to 7th version. Can be found recently in US market. Cameras known: #7762353 (SovietCams), #7876916 (eBay).
9. Very uncommon export version, under name Global-676. Released for Australia market in very smal quantities (appr. 1000 items). This camera have no any markings to identify the manufacturer, so only 6 digits serial number #000XXX and "4.5/75" on the lens frontplate. Otherwise identical to 1st version. Camera known: #000281 (eBay), #000486 (DVD Technik), #000838 (SovietCams), #001003 (eBay).
10. Very uncommon camera, under name SPUTNIK (camera known: #033164 Alain Berry). Otherwise identical to 6th version.
11. Very uncommon camera, under export name "Amator-2". Was released for Germany market in very small quantities. Otherwise identical to 1st version. Camera known: #51214432 (source: Novacon).
Vlad,
I would like to know the serial number of your Lubitel-2 LOOMP camera, if possible ...
Best Regards,
Aidas
