The resemblance to Drug is quite uncanny bar the bottom wind crank! I also wonder why "7"? [:)]..

Drug looks alot different, with the viewfinder over the lens, no meter, speed dial in a different place, and top wind lever (as you said). Most of these Russian rectangular cameras were heavily influenced by Japanese, German, and other international designs.

Bill, yea I guess from a thumbnail of this camera in the catalog it was easy for me to confuse it with Drug [:)].. must be the overall square shape. I'm not an expert on Japanese cameras so I only compare between the Russian ones [:D]..

Alain, if it's not too difficult I would love to see the rest of the camera, if you could add the images to the existing wiki entry it would be more than appreciated! Thank you!

Hy Gang!
The rewind system of FED 7 is similar to Japanese Yashica YL , Yashica M and Walz electric 1.8. These cameras ould be seen at:

And do not forget the Chaika.
All models have bottom knob or crank rewind!
