I wonder if someone had similar situation and can give me advise.
I was cleaning rangefinder on Fed-1 and by lack of experience I accidentally took most of the reflecting paint out off semitransparent mirror. Does someone know way how to fix it?

Go to Edmund Scientific they sell semireflective mirrors in 25,50 and 75% grades. Those are sold un 4x4 cm plates and appox 0.75mm thickness. You must cut the glass in the appropriate size.
You will do a better RF with a 75 percent reflective mirror. The second image will be brilliant and easy to be seen.
Request the catalogue and see ever growing prices.
A second suggestion is to use thin reflective plastic film used for overing car windshields. Works but is not so great!
Good luck and regards.

Thank you Luiz! I'll try this. Although I do not know how to cut glass accurately and precisely. It some special cutters needed?

Really it is only needed a diamond cutter and firm hand. Although I consider myself careful and meticoulous in precision machinery,
I could NEVER!!! in my trials obtain a right cut. So I give this task to expert people.
