I've added two more pieces to my collection between yesterday and today.
Yesterday's delivery brought me a nice Zorki 4 Periscope Camera w/ Body Cap. The number on front reads 2051 over 1961. The cameras serial number on back is 6121045.
I'm not having much success locating more info on these cameras. JLP has very limited info. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.
The second camera received in todays post is a nice early Kiev III Body, serial number 50045.
The body is in excellant condition. The seller stated the timer was inoperative but it seems to be working just fine. Maybe he didn't know about advancing the film wind prior to winding the self timer lever. The speeds sound to be in nice shape as well as the RF being bright and contrasty. The meter needle responds as if it were new!! The meter scale is in DIN as it is supposed to be for an early model III. The body was not offered with a lens. I'll look around for an appropriate model.
I'm quite pleased with both. Pictures will be on the way soon.
Steve

Congratulation with your acquisition!
May be your camera will fit one of this apparatus?:

Hello Steve,
Congratulations, especially for your 1950 Kiev III. Hard to find with working meter and timer.
What about the lens? I have the same problem with a II. 1950 Jup or ZK are almost undiscoverable. Perhaps a Sonnar [?]...
Amitiés. Jacques.

Hello Jacques,
You're right, 1950 50mm lenses, by themselves are very difficult to find. I did find a 50mm Sonnar but the price is high, $220.
I'll look around a while and see if I can do better.

Thank you, Okynek.
I've found another piece of information very similar to yours but what I would really like to find is information concerning the cameras themselves.
Odd that JLP has such limited information.

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately it's impposible to known which camera it was attached to ... I've had to say goodbye to my prewar Sonnar 1.5/50 to get this ZK beauty ... [:)]

I received the Kiev camera with the early 1950 Jupiter Lens this afternoon.
All looks well. I removed the lens immediately and placed it on the early 1950 Kiev III I have. then placed a Menopta 53mm F1.8 on the new Kiev body.
Everything is in its place.
Thanks again , Aidas

Hi Steve,
I'm very happy you have completed your Kiev III (1950) set already! Do you have both types of Kiev II (1950) in your collection? [:)]
Best Regards,
Aidas
