PM0105. Rare military camera, released by KMZ in 1944-1945. The further evolution of ultra rare FotoSniper (GOI) camera, released in 1940-1942 (?). Camera has been produced for Soviet Army needs in very small quantities: Appr. 220 cameras released in 1944 and appr. 200 units released in 1945. The imposing reflex housing, showing a very bright, enlarged umage, with adjustable diopter settings, is equipped with a gravity-based rapid-return mirror. For picture-taking, the mirror release and the shutter release, activated by pulling the trigger underneath the gunstock, are synchronized.
The FED body (with s/n #1099 hand-engraved on the rear plate) is attached to the reflex housing by means of a quick-release mounting, which is attached or screwed to the body. No-name f:4.5/300mm lens #1103 (KMZ) in a 44mm screw mount, is recognized for its exceptional sharpness. The combined unit-body, reflex housing, and lens is well balanced and is fixed to the gunstock by a quick-release bayonet.
