Another thing I am thinking about... One of the 5 or 6 screws that hold the body on the top body plate is shorter than the others.

Normally it is the right one when you look from the front to the camera. But why is it shorter? There is no reason, the longer screws do also fit in that place.

There must be a reason why they made two screws with different length. Maybe to see if someone had opened the camera before?

When you use original Zorki cassetes the longer screw impedes the outer skirt to sit correctly in place.
