Good idea, but it becomes a macro lens unless you keep it compressed all the time... not very practical. Maybe if some mechanism is added like on "lens babies" to keep the plunger squashed...

Did you see the lens is a 80mm Biometar? It focus infinity.

how far apart from the body though? This plunger seems to move it away to almost 2 inches....
