Posted - Dec 16 2007 : 09:20:56 AM I only paid $15 but it could end up being a $15 paperweight. Supposedly it is slightly foggy but still useable. Is it possible to clean these up and might this one be useful with my FSU`s? Thank you, John
Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 06:52:54 AM I got this answered on the RF forum and thought I would pass it on here just for general info. John
"The pictures are of a copy of the VIOOH or IMARECT, which is not a turret finder. The finder in my avatar is of the turret kind. To answer your question: yes, your finder can be opened up and cleaned. You might like to look at http://www.cameraquest.com/leicafin.htm."
Posted - Dec 16 2007 : 1:47:54 PM IIRC mine wasn't either superbright, but I didn't mind as I got the FSU-turret one asap. This came with other items, so it was like a freebie.

Looks just like the Leitz product, but clearly marked "Universal," & "Japan." Large ring continuously sets an internal mask for 35mm through 135mm F.L. lenses. Shows moderate usage and wear, slightly foggy, but viewable and the ring and parallax corrector wedge seem to be working well... but it's as is where is ... Opinions and comments are welcome. I learn much from them. John
