In the 1200 Cameras from URSS book it is listed a very strange one.
It can be seen at:
http://corsopolaris.net/supercameras/LeicaCopy/Fed1/fed1.html
I desagree about this no-name camera could be a FED.
First by its Industar 22 lens, Second by the overall mechanical lay-out and the probably uncoupled rangefinder and some other details that leads to an skilfull tool operator like the recent shown french DMflex.
Regards

Yes, agreed it doesn't look Russian, more like a Reid prototype of something like it...

All the way in the bottom of the page, there is a FED "Siberia." Is there a unanimous opinion on whether it's a fake or not?

I totally agree with you, Luiz.
The modern scale of speeds is quite strange too...

About the Siberia (or rather the Paulus), we cannot be sure. But it seems that, if there were possibly some original prewar Siberia, all those we find now are fakes. When buying one (why not?), it is convenient to have a look at the cover engraving/serial number/speed scale: do they match together? Even if it is a fake, at least we must have a "coherent" camera!

This one seems coherent.

Amitiés. Jacques.
