Just bought a Kiev II (export model, 1952) with issues. While working on it I found that old repair attempt - the rangefinder was broken, obviously the repairman didn't own spares so he did this :

I also did that myself. I fixed one with a kind of instant cement. It works.

Posted - Jun 08 2015 : 4:34:17 PM Incredible! Really, the Contax/Kievs are the best cameras! With a Leica/Fed, no need something is broken in the viewfinder not to see anything. And I know what I say!
