Hello,

A new listing in the wiki: the Fed accessories.

We have put together all the numbers we know, from the first to the last. Our purpose was to determine how these accessories were numbered: batches by type? Depending on what? One by one?

Our hypothesis is that batches were probably used, like for Leitz or Zeiss. But for the moment, nothing is very clear, even if we can think that some can appear here and there.

It would of course be necessary to complete this listing to know more. Note that for technical reasons, this listing is not open like the others. So please, add the numbers you know in this thread.
And more generally, all ideas are welcome!

Thanks. Elnur and Jacques.

Hello Jacques,
hello Elnur,

thank you for the list and for your work.
Just a simple question about your list: what are you listing here? Do you list FED accesorries only or also FED lenses? I see here FED macro 3,5/50, but not the other lenses.

By the way, not all FED acessories had any serial numbers at all.

Regards, Alexander

Hi Jacques,

Excellent work. Unfortunately I listed the serial number of my FED angle finder incorrectly. I have corrected in on the wiki page for angle finders, but cannot correct the new list. It should be listed as 3957, NOT 4314 (which is the number of my self-timer).

David.

Thanks, David and Alexander![:)]

Concerning what we have listed:
Only the accessories. But we have noticed that the macro lenses were numbered inside the accessories, contrarily to the othere Fed lenses. It is why they are included in our listing.

Perhaps Fed considered them too as accessories?

And yes, you are right, Alexander. For example most of the 100mm viewers (probably those which were sold with the lens)and all the sport finders are not numbered. Curious.

Hi all!!!
I write on forum seldom. For me a little bit hard, as I'm not use from the beginning of the forum. And missed a lot. But with this table, I will try to help you and Jacques. As Jacques already answered correctly, macro lenses numbers are going in the chain with accessories. I also have a table of other lenses. A huge part of list taken from our forum, but I added a lot of other numbers. Soon I will ask Vlad to add here.

Hello,

Elnur has just sent me two photos (Fed lighmeter and selftimer). They show that these two Fed accessories have the same serial number.
But the famous prefix "3" is added for the lightmeter.

So, perhaps (probably?) the lightmeters with "3" are out of the regular numbering, while those without would be inside (the numbering![:D])
But why? Is there a difference between the two? Or is it only a question of date of making? Any ideas?

Thanks, Elnur!

Amitiés. Jacques.
