Here are the links where you can obtain this very unique book. This is probably the only printed information of Soviet flashes.

Many people (as well as photographers and collectors) collect photographic equipment. They are assisted by a lot of reference books and they help understand the history of the development of cameras and their differences.

However, there is practically no such literature on the history of flashbulbs (in Russia). In Germany, books were published on the history of flashbulbs, but there were no such publications either, at least for half a century.

To fill a colossal gap in the knowledge of amateur photographers (and collectors) on this topic, so the idea of this book arose. The book was written for several years and was written by a collector, but not only for specialists.

The result is a well-illustrated compact historical guide. The book clearly describes magnesium, lamp and electronic flashlights from around the world.

This book is in Russian language.

How about Europe, would love to have it, but from USA means a lot of extra costs in shipping & taxes.
If anyone who is capable orders it from Russia, I would appreciate if I could also have one.

Best regards,

History of photographic flash. Catalog of Soviet Photo Flashes

Dear friends, collectors of photographic equipment!
I want to share with you a joyful event for me, I finished the book " History of photographic flash. Catalog of Soviet Photo Flashes", which wrote for five years. The book can already be ordered from the online store.
Interest in the old photographic flash happened suddenly, when the popular resource "Wikipedia" responded to my request: "We do not have such an article, but you can offer yours." Seriously tackling this topic, I already posted several articles on the web, however, there was a nuisance! My texts, info and illustrations about the old photo flash were used without the author's instructions.
After publishing a dozen such unauthorized copies on the network, Georgy Abramov, the owner of the Photohistory website, advised me to write a book about flashbulbs and publish it, for which I am grateful. The book has value as a collection of information on this topic in one edition. Fragments from the book are found in the network in a truncated form. However, full information is only in this reference book.
For the convenience of customers, the book is published in two versions. In the US, you can order an edition with color illustrations ($ 49.99). In Russia, the book comes out in hardcover, but the illustrations are black and white (1100r). Due to its specification, the book will be limited edition.

The list of stores will be replenished.

Book order can be made in online stores-1 (sites in the US), 2 sites in Russia:

Yours faithfully, to fans of "vintage" photo equipment,
Vladimir Zverev.
