Bought a Zorki-4 camera recently as it had very interesting Jupiter-8 lens I had not seen before. The inside of the lens was white. Does anybody have info about the lens variation?

Hello Kaupo

Looking at your picture I can't see no white parts. They are gray but I have to admit that's a bit lighter gray than usual. But this could be a question of photography maybe. On some pictures I saw I found the same effect. There is mostly a little difference in color between the front ring and the inner part of around the front lens element. Just my 2 cent ...

Best wishes - Guido

It looks like a factory defect, they just forgot to chrome/paint that part, very common in USSR production.

Best regards,
