Hello everybody,
I've always loved the look, feel and even the quirkiness of Russian rangefinders, having started off with a Zorki in the 1970s. I've just bought a FED 2 and am looking forward to 'going back to my roots'. One slight problem is that the lens 'overshoots' by approx half a turn, when screwed into the body. I can easily move the Distance and DOF rings back into position at the top but not the aperture markings, meaning I have to turn the camera upside down to read them.
The only way I can imagine I would be able to see them on top of the lens body is to fit a rear spacer (if there is such a thing) so that the lens doesn't screw as far into the camera body and then re-position the other two rings.
Or is there a way to move the front part of the lens independently?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
