Industar 61 2.8 Aperture Markings not lining up

Hello everybody,
I've always loved the look, feel and even the quirkiness of Russian rangefinders, having started off with a Zorki in the 1970s. I've just bought a FED 2 and am looking forward to 'going back to my roots'. One slight problem is that the lens 'overshoots' by approx half a turn, when screwed into the body. I can easily move the Distance and DOF rings back into position at the top but not the aperture markings, meaning I have to turn the camera upside down to read them.
The only way I can imagine I would be able to see them on top of the lens body is to fit a rear spacer (if there is such a thing) so that the lens doesn't screw as far into the camera body and then re-position the other two rings.
Or is there a way to move the front part of the lens independently?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Keith,

You cannot add a spacer outside or inside without modifying the lens focusing properties. If all is not correctly aligned (infinity, depth of field, diaph scale), it's probably because the lens was taken to pieces for some reason.

Have you tried it on your Fed 2? On a numerics? With which results? The best way should be to change it rather than trying to repare it: too expensive...

Amitiés. Jacques.
