In 1933 workshop „Fototrud“ (manufacturer of first soviet camera EFTE) had its industrial shake-out. The same year new self-dependent workshop ARFO was founded. The very first camera Arfo was identical to Efte-2, with few improvements, such as ability to move front plate in horizontal and vertical directions, etc. In 1936 new Arfo-4 camera was produced. This camera had smaller frame size 6.5/9 cm. and double bellows extension.
