A fairly small number of FED 1 cameras manufactured in 1941-1942 and 1946 to 1948 when FED factory was evacuated from Kharkov to Berdsk.
We also seemed to have established that judging by the a passport found for FED-S (type e) found by Yuri Davidenko that serial #s up to at least 180xxx were still manufactured before 1941 which means that it was still in Kharkov and not in Berdsk.
