The 1d is the real first production model, without mechanical modification compared to the Fed 1c.
Only difference with the 1c: the Russian engravings ("CCCP" instead of "YSSR" on the cover). From c. 15xxxx, the pressure plate has no hole.
Serial number range: 95xxx to 173xxx. Some cameras are said to have been made in Berdsk and have later serial numbers (up to 176xxx as it seems) amongst the e-Bedsk serial numbers.
About 80000 of these cameras were made.
