Zenit Avtomat / Auto

n 1984 the Zenit-automat entered the mass production. The Automat was the first KMZ camera with Pentax K mount (which was proposed as an open-standard by Pentax and distributed freely) and a focal shutter with horizontal-travel cloth curtains. The only operation mode was aperture-priority. At least 3 variants of Zenit Auto existing: an early cameras came under name Zenit Automat in Cyrillic/Roman. The export version used the "Motorola" electronics instead of soviet ones. The Late Automat's came under name "Zenit Auto" in Roman characters.
