Vlad,

It is an interesting and very nice camera which I have not seen before.

The mounting is very heavy duty. Maybe it is for a military use such as a periscope on a submarine , tank, or for infantry?

May be it is a part of S-180 camera... Looks like...

S-180 was an exploration camera to research a polar auroras.
Btw, S-180 won the Expo-58 Gold medal and Diploma of Honour...
