What do you guys think? Home-made? I think black dials give it away...

Looks lika a 'bitsa' made up of various parts the Helios 44 is part silver and part black too -looks like it has been made up from at least 2 different lenses.

Samsung GX-10,too many Russian Lenses, A lot of Zenits, an Almaz 103 a few Yashica, and finally a Minox35GT

Hi Guido, I actually didn't buy it, it's still for sale, I was just curious what members here have to say. Link is here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Zenit-black-no-name-Russian-35mm-Camera-/350485107339?pt=Film_Cameras&hash=item519a8a528b#ht_1697wt_1396

The seller also seem to have another one like this but with Zenit-3M engraved, so based on that we can safely assume it's home-made.

thanks for your reply!

Hello Vlad

Yes, it looks very much home made ... ;-) - I've never seen such a "color" on any camera. No logo and no serial number can be found on the top plate. Could you describe the surface in your own words? It's rather fine or harsh (for other meenings of the word I'll tryed to find see: http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=1&cmpType=relaxed§Hdr=on&spellToler=&search=rau)?

A nice find anyway!

Best wishes - Guido
