I have an Kalimar SR200 that is in excellent condition and need to find out about this camera. I also have the manual that goes along with it, but it is not in very good condition.

I was told that this camera was purchased in Alaska at a Army PX in 1958 or 1959. I saw that the description stated that it was made in 1965 - 1978. I do have a serial # on the back of this camera also.

Where can I find out what the true value of this camera is?

I am sure that this must be a collector's edition.

FYI - I do not see any Olympic insignia on this unit.

If you can direct me in a direction to find out more about this camera please advise.

Thanks
Kurt

And it can't be older than 1965 as the production didn't start earlier.

Kalimar 200 not just carbon copy, it is a Zenit E. Many of them have Zenit E label under Kalimar sticker. It really fun camera to play with, but about value.... it probably better to have fun with it It hard to get more then $30 for it. I sow them end up on eBay for less then $5 and reasonable shipping.

Looks like a carbon copy of my Zenit E, Which I traded for and value about $25 in excellent condition. What's nice is that there are many lenses that will fit it, from Zenit to praktica, pentax etc. The only thing you have to watch is that they don't have auto diaphragm, at least on the model E. Don

Hi Kurt,

the SR200 can cost from $25 to about $60 depending on camera condition.. these are fairly common in the U.S.

Vlad.
