Posted - Jun 06 2008 : 7:05:26 PM I wonder if someone had similar situation and can give me advise. I was cleaning rangefinder on Fed-1 and by lack of experience I accidentally took most of the reflecting paint out off semitransparent mirror. Does someone know way how to fix it?

Posted - Jun 08 2008 : 09:45:13 AM Okynek and Gelios Really it is only needed a diamond cutter and firm hand. Although I consider myself careful and meticoulous in precision machinery, I could NEVER!!! in my trials obtain a right cut. So I give this task to expert people. LP

Posted - Jun 06 2008 : 7:18:36 PM Go to Edmund Scientific they sell semireflective mirrors in 25,50 and 75% grades. Those are sold un 4x4 cm plates and appox 0.75mm thickness. You must cut the glass in the appropriate size. You will do a better RF with a 75 percent reflective mirror. The second image will be brilliant and easy to be seen. Request the catalogue and see ever growing prices. A second suggestion is to use thin reflective plastic film used for overing car windshields. Works but is not so great! Good luck and regards. LP
