A sample of advanced technology. Calculated and constructed by the Leningrad Institute Tochnoi Mechanik i Optik -One year before the 21mm Biogon seen as the extreme available wide angle up to 1969, 17 years before the lauching of the 15mm Hologon. (of much more difficult production -and no diaphragm) and 45 years before the now commom Heliar 15mm of Japanese construction, Russians built their 14,5mm wide angle for underwater or air use.- an astonishing 120ºpicture taking- in 1953! Any idea who made the enclosure boxes to use with this lens? Is it also Alexander Massarski (Krab, Akvakon)?
Thanks,
Vlad. |

Zoom!
Thanks for that Massarski site!! It's great! Didn't know he had one. No I don't think only Massarski made underwater stuff, but I know he did most of them. :) Would not be surprised if he did do the Gidrorussar enclosure to work with this lens too that why I asked. I know Bill (nightphoto) will also love this link to Massarski site if he does not know about it already, he's a huge fan.
Cheers, Vlad |
