Hmmm. I'm not sure if that lens just shouts "Steal Me!" or not.

I wonder if it's actually polished brass or gold plated. If gold plated, how thick is the gold? Is it worth stealing and trying to get the gold-plating off. Surely the metal bits aren't solid gold?
