Hello All

Just introducing myself - I actually joined this forum a while ago but have yet to contribute anything - about time I rectified that. I´m not sure quite how to use this forum so if this turns out a mess please accept my apologies.

My name is Chris Sabine and I am a retired English ex-pat living in Spain. I have been collecting cameras sporadically for about 20 years, mostly SLRs from prewar and early postwar Germany up to about 1960 - mainly Ihagee, KW and Wirgin.

I got bitten by the Fed bug a few years ago while expanding my collection of early Zenits, and then ..... well a few Kievs and some Zorkis - and so it goes on!

Excellent forum this - packed with huge quantities of highly useful detail. I hope I may correspond with some of you in the future.

Enough for now, best regards to all and a fruitful 2012!

ChrisS.

Hello Trevor

Good to hear from you. I live a few km from a small village about 100 km north of Almeria. The nearest town of any size is Huercal Overa, about 25 km away. I´ve had a quick look at your website - impressive! Afraid I was strictly 35 mm and now digital.

Thanks for the reply. You're a bit too far away for us to meet up. Enjoy my website. You can always contact me via the contact link there.

Hello Chris,
you are welcome here! "Russian cameras" is a great theme for collecting, but if you want to get any information about your German cameras as well (directly from Germany Smile, let me know.

Regards, Alexander

Hello Alexander,
Thanks for your your kind remarks. My German cameras are all packed away at the moment except for one I came accross the other day - a first production run Edixa Reflex (one of the first 250 un-numbered ones). I may yet call on your help from Germany, as you so kindly offered.
ATB Chris.
