Sorry I missed this post.
Vlad my information came from the
http://www.novacon.com.br/odditycameras/optikotechna.htmUnfortunately this info claimed by
http://kinofototeh.ucoz.ru/forum/13-122-1 as incorrect.
The problem that authors of the above forum themself saying that they do not have full and reliable information about production of the movie cameras in the USSR, and they admit that history of movie cameras in Russia has to many gaps, see
http://kinofototeh.ucoz.ru/forum/2-29-1. I also consider that production of the cameras is much more complex than just build mechanical body. It unlikely that Patephone Company has expertize to do this on they own. So they logically would seek help from experts. The best expert in Soviet Union at that time GOMZ/LOMO.
IMHO GOMZ made the Turist project and then, probably dump it on MPZ. I do not have any documents to support this, this is only my opinion.
You did right think by changing Wiki until new information will be discovered. But I wouldn't close this question completely, not just yet.
On other hand we now have 2 entries for same camera in Wiki:
http://www.ussrphoto.com/Wiki/default.asp?WikiCatID=63&ParentID=58&ContentID=1058&Item=Turist+2x8and
http://www.ussrphoto.com/Wiki/default.asp?ParentID=58&WikiCatID=63&ContentID=530So it would be logically to combine them to one.
