Maizenberg about Lenses

6 posts in this thread
A question about the focal lenghts of Fed and Zorki standard optics. I was wondering if any of you could tell me more.

Are there other sources which tell more about the technical features of these lenses?

According to Maizenberg's book, these rangefinder lenses have the following focal length:

Industar 10 (Fed) f=50,00mm (which probably should be 51,6mm)
Industar 22 f=52,40mm
Industar 50 f=50,00mm
Industar 26M f=50,00mm
Jupiter 8 f=52,40mm

I think both the Industar 50 and Industar 26m are made to Zeiss standard (52,40) too. Because they close focus diffirently at 1m on a Leica body. Only the Industar 10 lenses focus correctly like the Elmar.
Well, these lenses have following focal length:

Industar 50 f=52,40mm
Industar 26M f=52,40mm
Jupiter 8 f=52,40mm

Unfortunately I have no information about I-10 & I-22, but I hope to find it in the next 2-3 days.

Regards, Alexander
The information above is from the original specification.
The next two I have found much faster than I thought, in the catalog from 1953:

Industar 10 (Fed) f=50,00mm
Industar 22 f=52,40mm

Thank you Alexander. Very good to know! Did you find the catalogue on the wiki?

The Industar 50 seems to have a rather high tolerance on its focal length: http://ussrphoto.com/Wiki/Content/files/860/Industar_50.pdf

Yet the Industar 50-2 for the Zenit seems to have a focal length of 50mm again.
Excellent, thank you!
