Hi All,

I've recently returned from a trip to my birth country - Georgia where I was very lucky to coordinate a meet with Alex Komarov and Elnur Mehdiyev, esteemed members of this forum! Smile Also when visiting Dry Bridge (a flea market of sorts) I've ran into a few of our forums members by chance, it was great meeting them - (Hi Nikoloz Big smile)!

I've managed to pick up a dark green FED-2 and a part of reproduction system - URU-2 but with a modified ZORKI-3 for it. (photo below).

And here are some photos of our small meeting (sorry for the quality they got recompressed on my phone for some reason):

Hi Vlad,

This Jupiter-9 is from this :

Now, what is this is another question. To me, it might come from automatic TV/Cine camera, or surveillance. But they are not rare, also Mir-1 in such construction pop from time to time. So the TV/Cine theory does not look right. Question is what kind of automatic/motorzoom device can be produced more or less widely?
Fact that only Mir-1 and Jupiter-9 (37mm and 85mm) were used could help to determine the purpose of this device. But I didn't find yet.

Hi Pierre,

very interesting! That looks like a video camera of sorts.. Yes, I have indeed seen Mir-1 and I think I have also seen Helios 44 in such mount... I may be wrong.. thanks!

Hi Vlad, it's some time I can't reach Alex Komarov's website Fotoua.
Do you know what happened, if the site has moved to another adress or if it has been dismissed?
Greetings Francesco

Hello Francesco!

Alex was having problems with his hosting provider, so he left them, now he is in the process of setting up his site with the new provider in Ukraine, he's having some difficulties, they're working through it, hopefully the site will be up within a few weeks.

Best regards,
Vlad
