Off topic, but nice (I hope)

Hello to all,

some panorama pictures taken with a Pentax DSLR (so no soviet gear involved) from my trip to Australia in September of this year. Just enjoy it.

5 weeks are not enough to see the country, you can only see about 1 percent of it... I think my next trip to Australia has to be half a year or so to see more of the beauty of it :-)

Nice photos Ulrich, I particularly like the one of Ayers Rock. It is much photographed from all angles but the use of shadows and lighting in your photo create a unique 3D quality, for me at least. By the way, Ayers Rock is now officially known by its Aboriginal name of Uluru.

Yes, it is a big country. In my 56 years, I have seen a fair part of it but am ashamed to say that I have yet to see the centre. On the other hand, I have driven across the middle of Germany.

thanks for your reply. The Uluru photo is a panorama of 3 12mm shots (equivalent to 18mm on 24x36mm film). That's why the shades seem to come from all angles. The red center is like beeing on mars :-) It looks and feels as if you are not on this planet...

Driving through the middle of germany is much easier, Germany is a small country and there are enough roads to drive on ;-)
