Kiev 16 E

1969-1973

The Kiev 16 E is a 16 mm movie camera with electric motor drive(E stands for ELECTRIC). It has three filming speeds of 16, 24 and 32 frames per second, plus single frame. The removable 'C' mount lens is a Vega-7E(or may be Vega-73?) f/2.0 20 mm. TTL metering via a CdS cell can be set from 11 to 350 GOST.

Camera need 12 AA batteries to run or it can use external 9 Volts power supply.

Handle has hidden compartment for filters. Lens is interchangeable.

Later cameras has black lens, darker body color, name was silk screened in red.
