This second version of the Zenit 12XP differs from the first in that the top and bottom plates are now plastic. The most noticeable difference is the flattened pentaprism housing. Other feature remain the same. TTL metering with LEDsin the viewfinder. Shutter speeds 1/30 to 1/500 plus B. 42mm screw mount lens. This later version of the 12XP was also available as the Zenit 12sd. Cameras manufactiured after 1991 are marked 'Made in Russia'. The lens on this example is the Helios-44M-5, f/2 58mm.
