This is the first Soviet electronic flash unit. Release of products has been launched in 1955 at the Moscow plant MELZ.

Model called "EV-1" ("Электронная Фотовспышка"-electronic flash) type Molniya(flash). The first version of the product was powered only by an internal replaceable dry-cell battery. Subsequent versions are also able to work on AC 220 volts.
