Posted - Jun 12 2016 : 09:43:29 AM Hello, I have got last week very interesting Zorki-5 (1st type) with colorless engraving. It seems to be never colored. The engraving is also shifted a bit in comparison with the red one. Any ideas?

Thanks Steve, I thought about that, that there must be other screws. This is not an easy camera for service and to remove film parts. A step back for Zorki engineering. |

Posted - Jun 13 2016 : 07:50:38 AM Hi, according to Maizenberg, remove the lens mount then the 4 chromes screws located on the outer side of the body, then three other screws which appear to be under the top cover, on the plate containing the rangefinder, speed mechanism etc? Then push the rangefinder cam inward to stop it fouling the shell as it is slid off.
Cheers,

Thanks Alexander,
I have already removed the lens mount and the other 4 screws. But the vulcanite housing is still not possible to move, as if it is glued to the top. I don't like to disassemble the top plate, I only want to service the shutter and remove film parts. I will assemble the lens mount again and screw some M39 rings on it and try to move the housing with more power. |

Lenny, I think all "red" Zorki-5 have the same rewind button with 4 rows. To disassemble the body you need to unscrew the lens-ring and 4 screws on the front.

To disassemble the vulcanite housing the top plate needs to be disassembled first, right? |

Posted - Jun 12 2016 : 10:04:31 AM Jacques, you are right, thank you. The red one has 4 rows, and the other only three.

It seems that the rewind button is slightly different too, no?
