Quarz 8XL 1985-1992
The Quarz 8XL is a super-8 camera that was manufactured by KMZ. Costing 365 roubles, this was KMZ's most expensive 8 mm camera. It has an all-plastic body, with electric motor drive. The zoom lens is a Karat f/1.2 with a focal range from 8 mm to 40 mm. The lens focuses from 1.2 m to infinity and also has a macro setting from 0.8 cm to 12.1 cm. Filming speeds of 9, 18 and 24 frames per second, plus single frame. Looking through the TTL finder, the selected aperture is displayed along with a film transport indicator. The zoom function is motorised via a switch on the side of the camera. The complete kit includes lens cap, 2x and 4x ND filters, lens hood, wrist-strap, cable release, 6 (A316) AA type batteries and an optional case.
