Inscribed Kiev Vega 1960

6 posts in this thread
Hello All,

Today a small Kiev Vega I bought arrived to me. It is an early 1st version, serial No. 09015. It has an inscription in Ukrainian and Vlad has given me a loose translation, but I'm wondering if anyone here reads Ukrainian and can give the exact translation, or close to it?
Thanks for any help and here are some photos:

Regards, Bill

I'll try:
To dear comrade Moravets-Zdenek from Trolley drivers or city of Kiev. April 1960.
Thanks Okynek! Very similar to what Vlad said. Thanks Vlad!

Regards, Bill

My pleasure Bill! Just a few details, I've spoken to a friend of mine who is from Ukraine originally he said the the first word means "Most respected" and just to correct Okynek it's "Trams" not Trolley.. There are all kinds of trams but Trams mentioned here are the ones on rails (similar to cable cars in your home town Bill, but driven by electricity like Trolleys).

Vlad
so.. To most respected comrade Moravets-Zdenek from tram drivers of Kiev. April 1960
Thanks Vlad and Okynek ... I have added this smallest of presentation cameras to the WIKI with your translation of the engraving noted!

Regards, Bill
