Looks like a bad matt respray and then somebody gave up trying to re letter it properly, and wrote with a white pen! M = M42? as opposed to 122k maybe

By sure it is not a hand made name once the two numbers "2" in 122 are absolutely equal.
The camera appears to have one of the last series of body with an earlier series of lens.
So this is certainly a remake from the camera refurbisher technicians found all over the FSU.

I don't know, Luiz... it looks like it's from a cartoon . So weird...

Definately a repaint, its too matt compared to my 122 and 122k, but I think Luiz is right, the numbers are the same . It looks to me like a custom rebuild, something similar to the black Krystall on Fedka at the minute. People paint their motorbikes matt black so why not cameras!
