Artek camera

Artek camera...Question.Question.Question... Smile - the camera is real, it is rare version of early Smena 5 with black top.
The nameplate is NOT original IMHO, name plate seem to be made on laser printer and stick to the camera. So most definitely it never was camera with name "Artek". But I like the idea.
Artek was name of famous "Pioneer summer camp" in Crimean Peninsula on Black See (now it part of the Ukraine)("Pioneer" was name of young communist organization for kids from age 10 to 16, as I remember).
Originally camp was made for disadvantaged and sick kids. But lately in Soviet history it mostly hosted kids of communist leaders and used for political conventions, with some exceptions of cause. Please read more about camp at: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artek_%28camp%29 ]
this was the cāmera you applied in Santa Claus in your Christmas Picture ... right?
Very interesting.....

I believe they actually made this grey Smena-5 without the name tag, I have one just like it, no name.

Cheers,
Vlad
I have one S-5 without name too.

Best regards,
Juhani
