Testing my Jupiter 8 on a 36MP Sony A7r

I have recently ordered a very nice 1957 Zorki 4 body from Oleg at okvintagecamera.Prior to it arriving, I ave tested a newly acquired 1957 Jupiter 8 from RetroPhotoHouse.Nice polished aluminium , focus and aperture smooth as silk and the lens is clear from defects. It had been refurbished by Roman as as in common with older aluminium lenses, the filter area was bent preventing the use of both filters and lens hood so he removed the front plate and replaced it with a later model black metal front plate.Of course the age of the lens can be seen by the external knurled focusing knob which disappeared by 1960.The 36MP of the Sony A7r will test any lens and I am pleased this one came through with flying colours which is good as Oleg Says "Any soviet camera or lens — small lottery. As other soviet production they may have unstable quality. You may get excellent thing or absolutely unusable item.
So, if you have a good Jupiter lens — you win that lottery"

Thanks for the info, Peter. I always wonder about all those on-line reviews of old lenses and whether the photos have been messed about with before posting, glad to see you've not done that, though I've no idea what effect the J8 profile in LR (LightRoom?) would have.
