Field camera

4 posts in this thread
Hi all!!

I got this camera
Seems to be a collodion one for 15x15cms slides

What is surprising is the markings on front and on top: Maybe a name (the owner?) with Moscow and number 744 engravings, or could it be a Russian made?

Please, who could give me some informations?

Best regards

Fred

On first glance looks like an imported to Russia French camera to me... although I haven't seen a stamped into wood writings like that, usually it's a plaque..

Either way a very nice purchase! Congratulations!

Thank you very much!!!
So Adolf Reine is the name on the front plate
It's really clear it is probably a French camera imported in Russia before revolution...

Thank you very much!!

Fred
