Hello,

I fell on this very curious GOMZ Industar 7 some days ago. It is here now.

I don't know when, nor by whom it was made. But that does not look like a "home made" work. I am astonished too by the very early serial number... If anybody has an idea...

Thanks! Jacques.

Some photos made with that lens on my Sony. Note that the rangefinder seems correctly calibrated (the shown focus distance is the same as the real one). But I have not tried it on a Fed!

Note the vignetting. And a very strong flare when the source of light is not behind!

Amitiés. Jacques.

So, my Industar 7 is already on photohistory.ru...I am honoured! Thanks, Luiz. (the photos come from the seller's advertisement).
But I hardly think that such a lens was used, as it is, on an aerial machine gun...Smile
And I will put that lens in the wiki, Juhani. But before, it would be interesting to have more information about the Industar 7. Can we date them by their serial numbers? And about this conversion: made from scratch or not?
Something interesting: the focus range spreads on c. 380° which is very unusual: there is an overlapping of c. 20°.

Amitiés. Jacques.

Jacques, I'd like to know how much of the viewfinder image you can see when it's on the Fed, and whether you can see anything at all if there's a lens hood on the lens?
