My Zorki 2C has an inscribed/stamped made in USSR ("sdelano v sssr") in Russian on the rear top plate but I cannot find any other 2C`s with the same inscription. I have looked at many others on Ebay and other collector sitesbut have not seen this .
Vlad tells me this is almost certain to be factory and possibly for exported models and recommended me posting this to invite futher comments and discussion.
John
Wish I knew how to post images here, but here`s the link showing the inscription.

Hello John,

it's quite common to see Zorki-C, Zorki-2C and Zenit-C cameras with such rear engravings. I doubt these engravings indicates to export models while only very few countries are using Cyrillic in their grammar, so not many people to understand what's written ... Big smile

Regards,
Aidas

Aidas you're probably right, it would've been "Made in USSR" if it was an export.. although Soviets were vain enough to make a Russian inscription for export too Smile heheh... but these are really common inscriptions... I see them all over my cameras.
