Yuri is great.
I dove into FSU cameras too blind and wound up with a fake Leica -- what a mess. Even the case was simply glued together. But FEDKA sent me a Zorki 1c that just made me burst out in a wide grin.

I ordered a FED-2 and a Jupiter-8 from Yuri. The items arrived quickly, but they were not in the described condition. They were much, much worse.

The camera was said to have "no paint scuffs or brassing", just "some small corrosion spots". The paint was chipped off in most places and there were scratches all over the metal.

The Jupiter-8 was said to have "some cleaning marks on the outside elements" that are "minor and will not affect image quality". The lens I received had very heavy cleaning marks that would have most certainly affected the image quality.

He did, however, offer me all of my money back, so it was not a loss. I am upset that the items were so severely misrepresented.

Yuri manages (in December!) to get stuff to South Africa quickly, well packed and safely!

Sent Fed 3(b) to Yuri in New York for CLA and new shutter curtain. Got it back completely done in 9 days flat, including shipping both ways! The camera works beautifully now, far better and quieter, and the cocking/winding mechanism and shutter release are butter smooth compared to before. Fedka.com is the REAL DEAL for repair work. Although I haven't bought a camera from Fedka yet, you can bet my next one will come from them.

Yuri at Fedka.com is an excellent seller and has a very good selection of Soviet cameras, in good condition and for good prices. I ordered an Underwater Housing for the Leningrad camera, made by LOMO from him and it arrived very quickly, well packed and in good condition. It is a beautiful example with all the original attachments and I am very satisfied with every aspect of our transaction.

Every camera that I bought was exactly as described on the web site! I'm not even talking about shipping - I usually get the cameras 2 days after I order them. I've also used his repair service to fix my broken Gorizont camera. It was returned to me in pretty much new, nicely CLAed condition 4 days after I had sent it in!
