EWA Russische Camera's ?!

10 posts in this thread
Hello,
I have found last week two very interesting pins "EWA Russische Camera's". They are labeled half German half English or any other language? I have absolutely no ideas what does it mean. I suppose only that it could be something about russian cameras Big smile. Can anybody help?

Regards, Alexander
Hello Alexander,

very interesting find! And with a picture of Start no less.. I've done a little research, the only thing I've found is EWA is an European Water Association Smile, but I don't think that's it, there is also EWA-Marine in Germany which is a company dealing with camera underwater housings, my wild guess is if it's connected - Start was one of the cameras that did have an underwater house for it - the SKF-1 if I'm not mistaken, so maybe somehow related? I bet you that Luiz Paracampo is going to know what this is Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

One HUGE problem...
It is not Camera but Kamera in German...

Hmm.. yes you're right! Odd...
Couldn't it be Dutch?
Bingo Sandor!
It is really Dutch! I have just found on eBay.nl nearly the same pin and I will ask the seller, if he could give me some more information what could it be! I will post here his answer, if I get it :)

EWA means East-West-Agencies.
The Netherlan's branch of TOE England and was the distributor of Russian cameras.
See similarities with Mashpriborintorg logo
