Helios T.O.E.Ltd camera bag

Bought this bag on Ebay (sellers picture).

Imported into the UK in the early 80's by Technical & Optical Equipment Ltd.

Note the straight stitching Smile

Same bag here, but the stitching is better. It came with a Zenit 12XP (cyrillic version) bought by a Dutch student living in Russia in the early 90'.
As far as I know, TOE was allowed to add the Helios-badge even to items they bought "outside USSR".
Eg there is several Helios-lenses in M42m which are made in Japan, and badged for TOE.

Best regards,
Juhani
There's a few of the larger light coloured ones on Ebay UK.

I think quality control was lacking when they stitched mine!

Isn't also the HELIOS text curved?

And here is a set of those Japanese TOE-Helios lenses, look at the font of the text on lens cap, TOE-type...

Best regards,
Juhani
Very nice lens collection.

Yes,I think the text is slightly out of alignment. At least one thing it's certainly not a Gucci designer bag!
It's actually one of the rare, exclusive and expensive Gucci "Designer Scruffy" bags that's meant to put off would-be thieves, by making therm think "No-one would put good stuff in a bag like that!"

That's exactly why I bought it SeanSmile

I normally use a cheap ex army £5 off ebay small shoulder rucksack for my cameras for that exact reason.
