A bit of news from Viktor for the U.S. crowd who is involved in our bulk order and waiting on these. The books are now complete with the hard boxes and they are figuring out the acceptance of payment from overseas. Taking a bit longer than anticipated because it's not that easy apparently to get these from Belarus to U.S. Smile. Juhani was lucky enough to have someone meet Viktor in Vilnius and get a quantity of those into Northern Europe.

As a side note these are should be already in stores in Belarus and Russia, see the mirfoto.by website for more info on that.

Cheers,
Vlad

Vlad I guess I missed the post about book order.
I would definitely like to order one. If Victor will be kind enough to sign these books for us, I'll take 2 books, one for use and one for collection, to keep it intact Smile
I also wondering if this book will be available in electronic format, on CD, or on-line?
It would really help me to use it at work Wink !!!

Hi Okynek,

Yes, without going into details we're having difficulties transferring funds from U.S. to Belarus and shipping such heavy cargo since they have not done it before, Viktor is trying different options so it comes out cheapest for everyone. He is asking to bear with them while they figure it out.. I will also check back with him this weekend.I can assure you he has a pallet of 10 books that say "To USA" sitting in his office Big smile.

Vlad I have some experience shipping around the word, and specially in FSU.
The most economical way to ship books is one-by-one by regular Mail. Other possibility is to go to Airport cargo facility and put them on a direct flight. And here in NY, Chicago or DC we will take them out of the plain. All Air companies offering this. Should not be a problem. UPS, FedEx, DHL is no good. They are too expensive and require too much paperwork.

Money can be send by regular mail using USPS Money order, or Western Union money order. Both easy to cash in FSU without paying tax.
Other possibility is prepaid Visa/Master/AmEx card, again have to be send by regular mail in envelope.
Money transfers is not working good between FSU and US and they to expensive because tax on both sides and bank fees.

He will not save much money by sea. Sea will take 2 month to arrive and then a lot of troubles to get them out of the cargo port. Ask Victor to research how much it cost to ship books one-by-one by Mail. I bet no more than $15/book. I would pay this extra to be able to read this book today.

No for that weight it's at least about $50 a book it's a really heavy book if sent by airmail, but that's really not the problem, it how we transfer the money to them. There are some logistical issues in that regard. We'll get them here may just take a little bit.
