Mir 1B prototipe?

8 posts in this thread
Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a Mir 1B 37mm f//2.8 to mount on my ZenitET. Found one on ebay with this serial no. N0000151.

Is that a prototipe from the early days?

Thanks!
I guess this is lens made in year 2000.
The lst 2 digits of the year are equal to 2 first digits of serial number.
Thanks Alfa2,

I've noticed it after I bought it, the date is written in the paper from VOMZ plant. I thought that this lenses where produced only until the first 80s.
By the way, the serial no. starts with 000, so it should be a pre-series.
Pls show us a photos of the lens and photo of the paper.

Hi Marcus, yeah it's definitely a year 2000 Smile says so in the passport.

Cheers,
Vlad
Marcus, this is the 151-th lens nade in year 2000. And nothing else.
151-st lens made in year 1999 have serial number 99000151
151-st lens made in year 2000 have serial number 00000151
151-st lens made in year 2001 have serial number 01000151
I hope this is clear now.
All clear, thanks guys! I just thought that this lens was not produced in those years.
By the way, the lens works and has a nice bokeh, not nice as the Helios f\2 :)
