Hi Alexander,

Yes, as far as I know the last batch of 5 cameras went into production about 2 weeks ago, I am anticipating them to be done and ready for shipment very soon.

Cheers,
Vlad

Hello gentlemen,

I've finally finished my box project for the USSRPhoto.com 5 year Anniversary camera. I've finally found a black 4x6 keepsake box at a local store after weeks of searching for $25, engraving plates for $5 each and unfortunately I had to use a retail engraver who charged me $20 to engrave each plate since I couldn't find anyone private to do it and match the italic font close enough... So in the end I unfortunately ended up at the same $50 box Smile. The box quality is OK, I wouldn't say great, particularly the back hinges are a little rough but the overall finish is pretty nice and matches the camera fairly close without the woodgrain that the camera has though, the box is a semi-glossy-to-matte finish. I made 3 extra engraved plate plaques so if anyone wants I can make these boxes for you and ship them. It'll cost whatever I paid for components - $50 + whatever shipping is.

The Zorki-1 camera still has some horizontal wiggle space in the box (I think Zorki-C will take up the space little better), I made a little foam insert for my own version when I'm transporting it, you can do the same if you like.

Please look at pictures carefully and if you would like one I can make one for you. Right now I have 3 engraved plates and 4 more blank ones that I can engrave if there actually demand for it.. I really wanted a box to complete my set and will be glad to make you one. Please contact me if you would like one.

Oh no! I think I spoke too soon, I just called the shop where I bought the black box a month ago, they are sold out and it's been discontinued! Damn! OK, I'm going to keep looking for a replacement box, but if you think you can find a black box locally I'll be glad to ship you the already engraved tag with adhesive on it for $25. I apologize, I guess while I was waiting for these engraveable plates these boxes disappeared. SadSadSad

Hi Jacques,

I think someone asked him 2 weeks ago (may have been Ulrich) and he replied that he needed 2 more weeks. So it should be around time to get them, I'll email him to ask tonight.

Cheers,
Vlad.

I've spoken with Mika, he said he hasn't yet heard from the guy who's making these and thinks it's probably another 2-3 weeks. Don't worry you will get the cameras, it's just as I said before they really take their time on these because it's all handmade work.

Cheers,
Vlad.

Hi Vlad

I don't remember if I have 004 and 008 or 007 and 008. maybe it is 007 and 008 as you told me.
For shipping cost, the last email I received says $25, but not sure it is for one or 2 cameras???
I have sent $100. So please could you tell me the amount I have to pay?

Thank's a lot!

Fred

Hi.

Just been through the entire thread and although I am listed all along and have paid my deposit I don't ever seem to have been assigned a serial number. :(

Kris.
